Even Homer

I thought this was a really great clip. My roommate (who is also in this class) and I watched it together and were able to identify all the different stages as what we had done it class. I'm really glad you posted this!

Wow, this was SO great! I must say, the clip is probably one of the funniest clips I’ve seen. When we did the evolution activity a couple weeks ago, I liked the majority of the things we did, but for some of the other ones, I didn’t really understand why we did them. I looked around the class and sort of just copied whatever my classmates did. But this clip showed me the whole evolution process, and I found it to be very intriguing. The main point of the clip is obviously survival of the fittest, and it is still true in today’s society. We are not physically brutal and barbaric anymore, for the most part, but our motivation and actions reflect how much we want to reach our fullest potentials and live the life we want to live.

I really liked this clip as well. It was very interesting to see Homer go through all of the different stages, especially at such a quick speed. I also watched this with a friend and afterwards she argued that it wasn't a meteor that killed the dinosaurs, and that she wasn't even sure she believed in evolution at all. I knew there were people who didn't believe in evolution however I was still a little taken aback. Although this is just a theory it seems that it is higly supported by most scientists and it was strange (but a big eye-opener) to listen to someone elses views of how we came to be who we are today.

I agree that this clip was really funny. Ask I was watching I was surprised to see all the same steps of evolution. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that the theory of evolution has been around so long that it has become standardized. There is just one theory of evolution now.

I found it interesting to see the different stages of evolution that we practiced in class. I agree with the post above that the theory of evolution has become standardized. To me this means that we are no longer questioning it. Science is meant to be expanded on, and many theories have been changed over time. Not sure I am in total agreement with evolution, but do enjoy going through the movements in dance.

From watching this clip, I saw myself on the other day's class from simpson. This clip shows the stages of evolution. I think it is a great clip for everyone to watch from kids to adults instead of reading things about it. Now I want to know what is going to be the next stage of the evolution.

Very cool how you incorporated every one of those steps in our movement experience. However, I really wanted it to be longer and spend more time in each evolutionary step. I love seeing the metamorphosis I think it's fascinating how we can adapt to our environments for survival. Here's to our continuous adaptation! We're gonna need it!

Very interesting clip! I found that this portrayal of evolution was very similar to the one that we went through in class. It was interesting to see the different stages of evolution and think about how each of those stages felt as we moved through them in class. I do not believe in evolution like this, but I still find it fascinating as a theory.

Graphically summarizes pretty much everything we went through the class!

I wish we had evolved from cartoons (maybe we did) or we are going to (maybe we will)!

Perhaps there's got to be a animation about that as well...

I loved this clip! I love the Simpsons and this was a great representation of what we did. It's interesting to see the evolution process in cartoon form. It made it easier to understand.
I liked how while Homer was progressing, Moe was decreasing and going back in evolution. I never really liked Moe haha..

Wow. Guess we can count on the Simpsons to educate the masses. Like everyone has already said, this clip was funny while also being very informative. I honestly didn't know too much about the exact steps in our evolution until this class, and it's a completely unique experience to feel them in your own body. And then there's the Simpsons.... :)

This was a very entertaining clip of homer Simpson. It was great to have a visual account for the stages that we went though during class. I haw able to identify what we worked on It was also interesting how when he was a dinosaur how he was having trouble and there were obstacles coming against his growth and movements. When in class, there were stages of the evolution where I felt easy to connect and transcend. But there were other where I was facing many obstacles and it was difficult for me.
